After outgrowing our current home, we began a search for a new one. After several months of researching, however, it became apparent that we could not find one that suited our needs and provided the back yard privacy we had so long enjoyed. With three growing kids, this was essential to us. Our current home was a three bedroom, two bath home built on an extremely large lot in Suntree area, with a back yard on the Baytree golf course. We decided that the smarter option for us was to renovate and expand our current home, and to that end we began the process of interviewing several builders. We were immediately impressed by Dave Lowman, his staff, his ideas for our home and his professional presentation of his plan for us.
We chose DRL to renovate our home, and never regretted it. Our renovation plan involved an addition of 1,100 square feet of living space, a new roof, new façade and entryway, pool and spa. Our home was transformed into a four-bedroom, four-bath pool home with an additional computer room, with the kitchen (which had been renovated earlier), dining, living and family rooms remaining the same. DRL’s plan for our home were specific and succinct, and the timeline they provided was, from start to finish, followed almost meticulously. That was what proved most impressive to us-that our project was always moving along as anticipated, at prices we expected. Change orders were taken care of immediately, to our delight. DRL’s staff even walked us through the various stages of selecting doors, windows, fixtures, a fireplace and various other aspects of our rebuild by giving us shopping options for selection of these items, and when to have these decisions completed.
With three small children, one of our greatest concerns was the presence of various people coming and going from our property for the four months our project took to finish. We were consistently impressed by the quality of professionalism displayed by all of the subcontractors DRL chose to work on our home. Not only were we impressed by the various subcontractors, but their work was always completed in a timely manner with minimum disruption to our family life.
In the five years since we rebuild our home with DRL, we have totally enjoyed our new home. Any post-construction issues that arose were always immediately addressed, and our satisfaction assured. DRL delivered on all promises and build the house we envisioned in our dreams. They were curtious, professional, had incredible attention to detail, and went out of their way to keep effective lines of communication open during the entire process. The most amazing part of the experience was that DRL stuck to their original cost estimates during a volatile time in the building materials and labor market and completed our custom home project in seven months! DRL Construction, Dave Lowman, built our home in Windover farms of Melbourne. We broke ground April, & Dave made sure we were moved in in time for Ron\'s Birthday party in July. The process was a joy from start to finish. Dave was hard pressed to stay within our budgetary constraints but managed to do so. In addition to the construction process, Dave was able to assist with the land selection, mortgage & insurance issues. Dave takes a sincere personal interest in his projects & his customers. Although we have given you verbal hosannas, we believe you deserve our thanks and praise in writing. You, your staff and crews made the entire process a pleasure and a source of enjoyment. The end product, our incredible home, is primarily due to your experience, attitude and excellent subcontractors. We have no qualms about recommending you to anyone who is looking for a good custom homebuilder.
During our recent Christmas Open House, several of our guests examined our home workmanship very closely. Based upon their observations and our experience, they have determined that they would feel extremely comfortable contacting you to assist them.
